2019 Bay Gelding

Cowboy is a 7 year old AQHA Registered bay gelding that stands 15 hands tall. This is a Ranch, Rope, and Trail horse deluxe that is extra gentle and suitable for most anyone who knows how to ride. He has a very friendly nature to him and is always ready to go. He saddles up the same every time, even with time off.

He has an outstanding cow horse pedigree, top and bottom, and it is no accident that he is such a great cow horse. He has spent his whole life prowling the pastures, roping and doctoring sick cattle, and will run to one with the best of them. You can get off and go down your rope and he will hold the rope tight while always keeping his cool. He is very cowy and will not let one get by him.

He has been used as a turnback horse and is a great penning and sorting horse. He has spent lots of time in the feedlots and makes it easy to open and close gates off of. He is very broke to ride in every way, has a good one hand neck rein, and will always ride between your reins and between your legs. He has all the necessary buttons on him, will lope beautiful circles in the arena, and has a big stop. He turns around correctly both directions and is very handy at everything he does.

You can pull the bridle off and ride him with a rein under his neck and he rides just as good. We have drug hundreds of calves to the branding fire with this guy and you are well mounted when riding him.

Cowboy is also a great trail horse and has spent countless miles up and down the mountains and through the creek bottoms. He will not spook at things along the way. He crosses water, goes through thick brush and deadfall easily, and will get you there and back safe and sound.

He is always good to shoe and haul and enjoys getting sprayed off when he is done working hard. He is trained to be led up to any step, mounting block, or fence and, with a simple smooch, he will side pass over and wait patiently for you to get on.

This is a very versatile, family friendly horse that could be pointed in so many directions. He has been to ranch rodeos and sortings and really excels. He could go to the team roping pen very easily and would quickly make a good one. He has all the tools and just needs backed into the box to do it.

This is the kind of horse that we love here at Flint Creek Quarter Horses. Lots of feel, very handy at everything he does, and safe enough to let the kids ride him. This horse has done us an extremely good job and we are proud to offer him for sale.

This has been one of my personal horses that I have really enjoyed riding and I am sure whoever ends up with him will love him as well. He is the real deal. He will always give you 100% and will never be resistant to anything you ask of him.
