2020 Grey Gelding

Goliath is a 6 yr old AQHA Registered gray gelding that stands 15.1 hands. His pedigree has some of the best cow horse and reining horse sires in the business

This is a really nice, well broke, all around horse that has been used extensively on the ranch and out on the trails. He will saddle up gentle and side step over to the mounting block or any kind of step and make it easy for you to climb aboard. He has a good old style one hand neck rein and goes where he is pointed confidently. He is light on his feet and can be quick when you ask him to be, but would rather just ease down the trail low headed and steady.

He has had a lot of cow work done on him. Lots of sorting and has spent lots of time in the feed lot, so he is very good at opening and closing gates. He has also been roped on a lot. Mostly ranch roping of every kind, but has also been lightly started in the arena lead steering and roping slow cattle.

He has a reining horse background and it shows. He has great lead departures and will go from a standstill and pop right into his correct leads soft and easy. He lopes beautiful circles and has a smooth rocking chair lope. He will turn around correctly both directions and has a big stop. Lots of natural rate when you put him on a cow and will make it easy to get the job done. Easy to side pass and has all the proper buttons on him.

He is calm and quiet and is a nice, easy horse to have around. Easy to catch. Good to shoe. Loves to get sprayed off after a hard day’s work. Has a good outside walk and will definitely put in a full day’s work. Will easily cross downed logs and creeks.

You can lay him off until you need him and he will saddle up the same. Has never offered to buck and has never pulled back. Loads easily into the trailer and will back out like a gentleman. Stand on the back of your trailer and smooch to him and he will side step over and let you step on.

This is a really cool young horse in his prime that is ready for somebody to take home and enjoy. Could be a great team roping prospect and would go to it quick and easy. Also could be a great team penning / sorting horse. Or simply use him on the ranch or take him down the trails. The sky is the limit with Goliath.
