2015 Sorrel Gelding

Pioneer is an 11 year old AQHA Registered sorrel gelding that stands 15.1 hands tall. He is royally cow horse bred with champions stacked deep in his pedigree.

This guy is extra gentle, family friendly, and has an excellent disposition and demeanor. He is super kind and will meet you at the gate no matter how big the pasture.

Pioneer is a very seasoned ranch horse that is an outstanding cutting, sorting, and all around ranch roping horse, as well as a finished team roping horse that has been hauled to jackpots, rodeos, and ranch rodeos. He has an excellent one hand neck rein and a beautiful hobby horse lope. He works great in the arena and will really watch a cow. He’s the kind you can pull the bridle off and go sort cows on, lope circles, or head out for a trail ride.

You can rope 25 head of steers on him, then put the kids or grandkids on him to cool him off. He does not have a mean bone in his body and always tries to do exactly what he is asked.

Pioneer is awesome out on the trails and will not be spooked by things along the way. He is confident and will get you up the trail and back to the trailer safely.

This is a super cool horse that the boss should be riding. He has dragged hundreds of calves to the branding fire and has been to lots of head and heel brandings.

This is the kind of horse you can lay off for months at a time, saddle up, and he will be just as quiet and gentle whenever it is his turn. Lead him up to any mounting block, stump, or step, give him a smooch, and he will swing himself over and stand quietly for you to climb aboard.

We can’t say enough good about this gelding. He has been a dream to have around our program. We have used him as a lesson horse, giving complete beginners confidence and showing them what a good one feels like. You can catch him in the pasture and jump on bareback with a halter or even just a string around his neck, and he will quietly walk you back to the barn.

He is great to shoe, loads and hauls like a dream, has no bad habits, and sells 100% sound in every way.
