2014 Sorrel Gelding

Ryder, is a 10yr old grade sorrel quarter horse gelding that stands 14.3 hands tall. This is a nice broke horse. That is a real deal working Ranch horse. He has done all the different chores, including roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture and has drug thousands of calves to the branding fire. He knows what a good long hard day looks like and is always up for the task. He has an outstanding walk that is smooth as can be and will keep those bridal reins swinging. You will not have to pedal him halfway through the day. He has a lot of natural cow savvy and is good to sort cattle in the alleyways or bring in stubborn cows out of the pasture. He is handy, broke to ride and will turn around correctly, both directions, and picks his leads up easily by putting your leg on him. He lopes nice pretty circles and has had plenty of time in the arena as well. Will side pass both ways easily and is great to open and close gates off of. He has never offered to Buck or be silly and is easy to be around. He easily jumps in and out of the trailer and will back out like a pro. He is trained to let you climb up on a fence or mounting block and simply Smooch to him and he will side step over and make it easy for you to get on and will not move his feet until you pick up those reins and tell him to. He pulls hard from the saddle horn and has pulled everything from sleds during calving season , kids and grandkids for fun and has drug lots of firewood into camp. He is one that I can go out and Rope and doctor cattle by myself and be safe doing it. This guy could easily go on to be an arena Rope Horse with very little effort. Would be an excellent team sorting or team penning Horse as he reads cattle really well. this is a neat little cow horse that has done us a good job. If you are just a trail rider, this horse is great. He is not spooky going down the trail and crosses all the obstacles with ease. He has had less experienced people trail ride him quite a bit and has taken good care of them. We guarantee him to be 100% sound to go be a Ranch or trail horse and will stand behind him.
