Smokin Sannman is a 2020 AQHA registered red roan gelding that stands 14.2 hands tall and weighs approximately 1,150 pounds. He has a royal cow horse pedigree stacked top to bottom with some of the most influential sires in the industry.

He is an own son of Sannman, a standout son of the legendary Metallic Cat, whose offspring have earned over $60 million. Going back, you will find High Brow Cat, whose progeny have earned over $90 million, and Smart Little Lena, an all-time great with offspring earnings exceeding $40 million. On the bottom side, he is backed by Dual Rey, a $40 million sire, along with Smokin Pepto and SR Instant Choice, both proven producers of money-earning performance horses. This is a pedigree built for talent, trainability, and long-term success.

It is no accident that this is one fancy, super talented individual with good bone and conformation that can truly do it all. He has a strong reined cow horse foundation and will really work a cow while confidently performing all the reining maneuvers.

He is a great all-around ranch and trail horse that has been used extensively on the ranch and in the feedlot, doing all aspects of the job. He has roped and doctored cattle in the open pasture, is excellent to sort on, and will not let a cow get by him. He has a lot of natural cow sense and rates cattle extremely well. He is especially fun in the branding pen and has dragged many calves to the fire.

In the arena, Smokin Sannman is a finished, money-earning team roping horse that has been hauled, seasoned, and won on. He is quiet and confident in the box, leaves flat, and goes to his spot every time. He has plenty of run, rates naturally, and finishes with a big stop. He is easy to operate on both the head and heel side and fits a wide range of ropers.

He will lope pretty circles in the arena, pick up his leads correctly, and stay soft and collected. He moves easily off your legs, has a clean turnaround, and is very handy, especially in tight spots and around gates.

He is trained to step up to any fence or mounting block, and with a simple cue, he will side pass over and stand quietly for you to get on. He is extremely user-friendly and consistent.

We have spent a lot of time riding him outside on the trails, where he has proven to be confident and dependable. He will cross water, handle all types of terrain, and is not spooky. He travels out willingly and is not barn or buddy sour.

Smokin Sannman can be laid off for extended periods and will always saddle up quiet and gentle with no issues. He has no bad habits, no buck, and no nonsense. He is great to catch, load, haul, shoe, and bathe, and is a pleasure to have around the barn.
