2017 Palomino Gelding

Shiner, is a gorgeous golden Palomino, 7 year old grade gelding that stands 15.1hands. This is a very gentle well broke gelding that has spent most of his life, ranching, roping and riding the trails. He is very well broke and has all the necessary buttons on him. He will lope beautiful circles in the arena and has a big stop. He has roped and doctored lots of cattle out in the pasture and is good at his job. Drug lots of calves to the branding fire. This horse has been one that we have been able to put less experienced riders on when needed and he takes care of them very well. He has carried young and old cowboys and has a good fast walk and will cover the country safely and smoothly. he will cross creeks and rivers easily and will always go where he is pointed. He has spent a lot of time in the feedlot and is easy to open and close gates on. He will let you climb up on a mounting block or fence and simply Smooch to him and he will step over and let you get on and will not move his feet till you pick up and ask him to step forward. This horse Loads and hauls good. Good for the Farrier. Can be laid off for weeks or months and will be the same Horse when you get him back up. He is very surefooted in the mountains and on the trails and has led Pack horses. No Barn or Buddy sour issues and is confident by himself or in a group.
