2014 Buckskin Gelding

Consigned to HorseBid's Summer Spectacular selling online August 27th.

Teton is a big beautiful AQHA buckskin 11-year-old gelding that stands just under 15.3 hands. He sells with all of the necessary paperwork to get him registered, but we have not sent it in. He has lots of legends in his lineage, including Freckles, Playboy, Young Gun, and Docs Oak. And sells that way. This is a big good looking stout made guy that is very well broke in every way. Is an experienced ranch horse and has spent lots of time in the big feed lots in West Texas roping and doctoring cattle in the pens and out in the pastures. He is a finished head and heel horse as well and really knows his job . Lots of run and rate and is good in the box. He has a good one hand Neck Rein on him and Will pick his leads up both directions and has a big dragging stop. This guy is a joy to saddle  up and Trail ride on as well and has been all over the country up and down the mountain trails exploring the high mountain lakes and the desert canyons. He crosses all the water obstacles and deadfall with ease. You can lead him up to any step or mounting block and simply Smooch to him and he will sidestep over and let you get on. He will not move until you pick up those reins,lean forward and send him. Teton is very gentle in every way and will meet you at the gate and follow you around like a puppy dog. He stands like a champ for the Farrier and has really nice hard black feet. He has never offered to buck or pull back and is the kind you can lay off for months and just go grab him when you need him and he will be gentle. He is great to use on the ranch and makes it very easy to open and close gates. He is very stout to the horn and will pull anything you can latch onto. he is 100% sound with no lumps or bumps or blemishes. Has a long thick mane with white highlights throughout it and a thick long tail and a forelock that hangs clear down his face. This is a big good looking Buckskin that is a rare find.
