Whiskey is a 6 yr old AQHA registered chestnut gelding that stands 14.3 hands tall. He has a great foundation and cow horse pedigree and is a really nice all around ranch and trail horse. He is very broke to ride and has a reining background, so he knows all of the different maneuvers. He will step right into his leads from a walk and gracefully ease across the ground. He will turn around correctly both directions, has a big stop, does flying lead changes and is a very pretty loper.

He has spent time in the feedlot and on the ranch and will easily side pass up to open and close gates. He has a great one hand neck rein and is very easy to operate. Whiskey is also an accomplished cow horse that has been used on the ranch to push and sort cattle and has been hauled to town to team pennings and team sortings where he has done quite well. He is the kind you can turn up when you need him and he will give you all he has, but then melt right back down to slow and easy going.

Whiskey is very family friendly and will meet you at the gate. He loves being around people and likes the attention. He has never offered to be anything but kind and willing and has been ridden by riders young and old. He is great to ride out on the trails, will confidently go where he is pointed and is just plain enjoyable to ride. He will cross water and trail obstacles easily and handles new country with confidence.

He is also trained to be mounted off of any step. Simply smooch to him and raise your hand and he will side pass right over to you and make it easy to get on. He is very sound in every way and has no extra health needs. Just throw hay over the fence and you will have a super easy to get along with gelding that you can go enjoy whenever you have time. He can be laid off and will saddle up the same when it is his turn to go to work.

Whiskey is at a great age at six years old and could be taken a lot of different directions. He could easily be shown in the reining or ranch riding classes and would make an awesome 4H prospect. He would also excel in cow events like team penning and team sorting. He is great to shoe, trailer and haul and loves to get sprayed off after the work is done.
